Gangtey Lodge - Bhutan

Bhutanese folktales have been passed on orally for generations. You can find these tales of wisdom on your pillow each night at the Gangtey Lodge.  An old traditional farmhouse that Khin, Brett and Yeshey have restored to its original state in the remote Pobjhika valley. They named this boutique luxury hotel, after the town where it is situated.

It’s 12 suites are elegantly decorated in the vernacular style on two floors and offer spectacular views of the valley which is also the place of refuge for the very rare black-necked cranes.  There’s no Spa, but the lodge will set one up for you upon request. In your room. Certainly not to be missed. Chic yet unusual.
